Canada a laggard by green spending standards, World Bank data show
Only eight per cent of stimulus spending during recession went to climate change-fighting strategies

In a World Bank report looking at the “green” portion of last year’s stimulus spending, Canada is seen once again as a climate change laggard with a meager 8 per cent of stimulus spending devoted to climate change fighting strategies. At least we’re not as bad as Italy, although without spending on CCS, we might be.
